The colors of this piece evoke some of Ellsworth Kelly’s early work in WWII where his artistry was used to create faux military vehicles to mislead enemy troops. Taking the colors used for military uniforms and equipment, Kelly plays with the clean form and lines of squares to reate a piece that marries two of his artistic inspirations.
