More information about this artwork

Peter Halley is a prominent figure in the Neo-Conceptualist movement, born in the dynamic 1980’s New York scene. Famous for his geometric paintings rendered in flashy fluorescent colors, Halley explores the increasing geometrization of the physical and psychological structures of social space in modern life – conditioned by urban design, technology and media. Influenced by the French Structuralist theory, geometric motifs as the cell, the prison or the brick wall prevail in his artistic practice. In the 1990’s, Halley expanded the scale and reach of his unique geometric and chromatic vocabulary by creating public installations.

The work being sold here is so exclusive we can’t even show it to you! We can share a few details though – it is a classic example of his iconic geometric style with vibrant, day-glo colors. At roughly 50 x 60 inches (135 x 150cm), this large-scale piece will be sure to catch the eye of everybody who walks by it.
