Artist Information

Larry Bell’s artwork, primarily his sculptures, installations, and drawings, focus on how objects can work together with the environment to create abstractions and reflections of light and figures. His early work frequently included boxes and cubes, developing frames from different metals and using glass to create pieces viewers could both see through and see reflections in. As his artistry progressed, he took this fascination with creating mirages and channeled it into drawings and collages. The materials for the boxes and cubes he creates today involve a more complicated technical production process, and typically no longer include metal frames. His work appears in galleries, museums, and collections across North America, South America, Europe, and Australia.
