Artist Information

One of the globe’s most celebrated millennial artists, Alexandra Nechita has achieved an unparalleled level of global success and acclaim. Born in Communist Romania in 1985, she and her family emigrated to the United States, where they settled in California. By the age of 12, she was crowned by the global media as ‘the pint-sized Picasso’ for the success of her cubist paintings and counted among her patrons some of the entertainment industry’s biggest names such as Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg. It’s hard to imagine that somebody whose work was selling in the six-figures before she could drive a car would feel the need to continue studying art, but that’s precisely what Nechita did – Nechita attended UCLA and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in 2008. After taking a brief hiatus from public life to create new work and spend time with her young daughter, she began exhibiting a new collection in June of 2019.
