Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams was an American photographer and environmentalist widely known for his striking wildlife and landscape photographs, especially of the American West and Yosemite National Park. He mastered every photographic system and continuously experimented with new techniques. The resulting clarity and depth of his images is considered the trademark of his photographic style. Fascinated by nature, Adam succeeded in capturing motion beautifully as well as avoiding embellishment in his pictures.

Ansel Adams founded the photography group known as Group f/64, together with his fellow photographers Willard Van Dyke and Edward Weston.
