Verne Dawson

Verne Dawson, was born in 1961 in Meridianville, AL, USA. He’s had several high level gallery shows at galleries including Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Zurich and Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, New York.

Dawson is a painter of both fantastical landscapes and the cosmos, Verne Dawson weaves the prehistoric past into the present. Dawson’s work expresses a long-held interest in charting the continuities of human nature and culture and the perpetuation of methods of timekeeping through oral and visual traditions.
