Eti More is a multidisciplinary conceptual artist. A Parsons and New York School graduate, she has started to take the world by storm late in her career with her refined and unique aesthetic creations. More’s art focuses on the human figure, sculpting it in endless and fascinating variations. Her emblematic elongated, flat, faceless and often gender-neutral figures, appear powerfully expressive. Originating in a unique moment that captures the artist’s attention – a person, a body movement or an atmosphere –, her creations come to life in the shape of a painting, a drawing or a sculpture, flowing from her inner emotions. The resulting three-dimensional works enable viewers to imagine the ways their own physical bodies are implicated within the narratives.
Silhouette bears More’s unique fingerprint. The elegant silhouette is here casted stainless steel and constructed in layers, giving an astonishing human warmth and complexity to the alienated and cold material. More’s artworks are becoming increasingly prevalent throughout the US, Europe and Middle East. Eti has seen a meteoric rise in exhibitions, galleries and major international art fairs just in the last few years.
