More information about this artwork

Joakim Ojanen, a Swedish artist, was born in Västerås in 1985. His artwork features surreal yet human-like creatures, each with their own unique expressions and peculiar growths. Ojanen's creations are depicted in various mediums, including sculpture, painting, and drawing, and are showcased in a range of scales - from miniature ceramics to life-size casts. His artwork features a blend of pastel hues and vibrant colors, with rough, uneven textures and high-gloss finishes. Despite being deeply personal, Ojanen's art is universally relatable. The artist's creative process is a solitary experience, where he pours his personal feelings and experiences into each piece, infusing them consciously and subconsciously with his emotions.
