The hieroglyphs of the pyramids of Ancient Egypt were long an artistic interest of Keith Haring’s, and this piece pays tribute to that. Many of his other pieces, particularly those with his iconic boldly colored figures, are organized in a way to mimic the look of hieroglyphs, and this piece brings that inspiration full circle.
