Shay Kun is an Israeli artist, notable for his vibrant, fuzzy paintings that deal with memory and perception. Kun usually portrays familiar environments, such as rain droplets falling down a window car or hand carved hot air balloon toys. These settings aim to explore the idea of nostalgia and how the memory fades away, leaving behind distorted and surreal recalls. Kun’s artistic voice lies between the historical concept of fine art and the contemporary deconstruction of digital and electronic imagery.
