Super Future Kid, born in 1981 in East Germany, was heavily influenced by the cultural shock of the fall of the Berlin Wall, which led to her love for bright colors and playful themes in her artwork. She studied at the Chelsea College of Art and Design and the Academy of Art Berlin Weissensee before embarking on a successful career in the arts, exhibiting her work both nationally and internationally in cities like London, New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Miami.
Her work explores themes of youth, spirituality, and the occult, creating a dreamlike reality that invites the observer to explore their own emotions and imagination. With bold shapes and colors, Super Future Kid's unique style has earned her recognition and praise from art critics, who describe her as a friendly visitor from another dimension, electric pink sugar running through her veins, and often trailing a glittery mist.
As Kristin Farr of Juxtapoz stated, "The mysteries of youth, spirituality, and the occult are all themes in Super Future Kid's symbology, and her comfortable spelunking of hyper-natural realms is vivifying."
